Halsnøy Monastery is a historical monastery. It was built in the 1100s, and is counted as one of five augustine monasteries from the medieval. The monastery was shut down during the reformation in 1536. It is now owned by Sunnhordland Folk Museum. The monastery is open for tourisme, with several guided tours each day during the high season.
